Player

Player can refer to two things:

Person

Someone who logs into a MUSH may be referred to as a player.

Object

An object with a type of Player is a person's avatar within the game. The type is represented by the flag PLAYER (P). This avatar may also be called the Player Character to indicate that the player controls the character as opposed to NPCs (Non-Player Characters) or mobs which are game-control characters and groups of characters, respectively.
