The ten "marker" flags are "user-defined" flags. Through the flag_name, flag_alias and flag_access configuration parameters, the names of these flags, and the permissions it takes to set/unset them, can be changed. Thus, the exact names of the flags will vary on a per-game basis, though Marker0 through Marker9 will always remain aliases for them, and their one-character symbols are always 0 through 9.

If the MUX was compiled with the Realms patch enabled, the MARKER flags are not available.PennMUSH does not support MARKER flags but does allow flag addition with the @flag command.
