TinyMUSH is a member of the [[MUSH]] family of servers which in turn are members of the broader class of [[MUD]] servers. Other members include [[TinyMUX]], [[PennMUSH]], and [[RhostMUSH]].

The present-day TinyMUSH 3.x server line has its roots in the merger of TinyMUSH 2.2 with TinyMUX 1.6. It offers the capabilities of both sides of its dual heritage, plus a substantial array of additional features.

TinyMUSH 3 is under active development. The current development team includes:
